DESCRIPTION:We’re delighted to invite you to an upcoming event held in conjunction with Northland Road Safety. \nAs a valued member\, we encourage you to bring along any non-members who might benefit from getting involved.\nThis is an event not to be missed! \nYou’re also welcome to bring your drivers so they can hear the important road safety message and gain valuable tools from Lance Burdett’s engaging presentation. \nEvent Details:\nLocation: Distinction Hotel & Conference Centre\, Whangarei\nDate: Friday\, 25th July 2025\nTime: Doors open at 4:00 PM for a 4:30 PM start\nFinish: Approximately 6:00–6:15 PM\, followed by pizza and networking \n  \nPresenters:\nLance Burdett – Following a career in construction\, Lance Burdett spent 22 years in the NZ Police\, 13 as a crisis negotiator. He brings experience from training in New Zealand\, Australia\, England\, and the USA with the elite units of police\, prisons\, emergency services\, the military\, and the FBI. Lance has a Master of Arts majoring in Terrorism\, Safety\, & Security\, a Diploma in Policing\, a Diploma in Business Studies\, and is completing a Diploma in Positive Psychology & Wellbeing. \nOur world is having an impact on many. Lance will speak about the effects of our changing world – feeling overwhelmed\, a short attention span\, overthinking\, and generally more tired. Lance will show us how to regain control of our wandering thoughts\, how to stay focussed\, as well as ways to motivate and energise ourselves across the day. Also learn how to have a more restful sleep. \nSerious Crash Unit (SCU) / CVST\nThey investigate crashes\, examine evidence and investigate the causes. A brief will be given on findings and prevention. \nSt John\nTop tips if you happen upon an incident.\nDon’t miss this opportunity to get amongst each other whilst hearing from these great presenters
