The announcement that Simon Bridges has been appointed as Chair of the NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi is great news for the sector and on behalf of the industry, we would like to extend our warm congratulations to Simon.
“Simon has stepped down as Chair of NRC’s Transport & Logistics Advisory Group, a loss for us but a real win for NZTA Waka Kotahi and the wider transport industry ” says Justin Tighe-Umbers, CEO, National Road Carriers Association.
“Simon’s expertise and deep understanding of the transport industry has been invaluable to the NRC Advisory Group. He has challenged us to think about what great looks like across all aspects of the industry. Under his guidance we have looked at how the industry can invest in roading for the future, deliver better health & safety outcomes, utilise technology and data to increase productivity, and shape a legislative environment that will contribute to a sustainable transport industry that delivers efficiently for New Zealanders.
“I’d like to personally thank Simon for his Chairmanship and wish him all the best in his new role.”
