Closure of the Drury southbound on-ramp from 9pm Sunday 13 September, for up to 2 weeks

As part of the SH1Papakura to Drury project, we are upgrading underground utility services in and around Drury Interchange. We will also be lifting and relocating Drury Interchange (and the motorway approaches each side of it) across to the east.
The next stage of works requires us to trench and install stormwater pipes under the Drury southbound on-ramp, in close proximity to Great South Road. A full closure of this southbound on-ramp is required for this work to be undertaken safely and efficiently.
What is happening?
Starting Sunday 13 September, we will be trenching and installing pipes under the Drury southbound on-ramp. This work is expected to take up to two weeks to complete, subject to weather.
How does this work affect me?
The closure of the Drury southbound on-ramp will impact some southbound motorists’ journeys. For southbound motorists who would normally enter SH1 at Drury, there are two alternatives during this ramp closure:
• Travel northwards to Papakura Interchange via Great South Road and Beach Road to enter SH1 southbound using the Papakura southbound on-ramp
• Detour southwards to Ramarama Interchange via SH22, Great South Road and Ararimu Road to enter SH1 southbound using the Ramarama southbound on-ramp (refer map on page 2).
Please plan your journey and allow extra time to detour.
Day works hours – Monday to Saturday from 7.00am to 7pm with crews permitted to arrive/set up and pack up/exit outside of these hours.
Night work hours – Sunday – Thursday from 9pm to 5am with crews permitted to arrive/set up and pack up/exit outside of these hours.
