SeaLink launches new website and booking engine

SeaLink launches new website and booking engine

SeaLink, the passenger and vehicle transport business operating between the Hauraki Gulf islands and Auckland has launched an enhanced website and booking experience for customers.

With a fresh new look and feel, the updated platform is faster, more intuitive, and fully optimised for mobile use—making it easier than ever to plan and book a trip either from or to the islands.

Customer testing with Waiheke, Aotea Great Barrier residents and frequent travellers has been positive, with customers saying it is now far easier to book ferries to the islands.

SeaLink Chief Executive Grady Cameron says the launch of the new booking website marks a major step forward in how SeaLink connects with its customers.

“By bringing together digital commerce, content, marketing, and customer data into one platform, we’re creating a more seamless, personalised and customer-centric online experience that sets us up for future growth.”

To celebrate the launch, SeaLink has partnered with Mudbrick Vineyard, offering qualifying customers who book online by 19 October 2025 the chance to win two nights’ accommodation and return ferry travel including:

  • Two nights’ luxury accommodation at Mudbrick Vineyard, valued at $850 per night
  • A complimentary wine tasting experience at Mudbrick
  • Two-course lunch or dinner for two, paired with a bottle of Mudbrick Non-Reserve wine
  • Return ferry travel for two people and a standard vehicle to Waiheke Island with SeaLink

Mr Cameron says, “SeaLink will be continuing to add more features and updates to further enhance the experience, whether you’re a frequent traveller with us or discovering the magic of the Hauraki Gulf for the first time.”

Included in the relaunch is an updated customer sign-up experience, making it easier and more intuitive to set up a SeaLink account where customers can register their details, access current and future bookings, and also access saved payment details. From there it’s a simple additional few steps to apply for a Resident’s membership for customers living on Waiheke or Aotea Great Barrier.
