SH2 BETWEEN MASTERTON & CARTERTON
We wanted to advise you the nighttime road closure on SH2 between Masterton and Carterton, has been rescheduled for Wednesday 22 January until Tuesday 28 January, weather permitting. The road will be closed between 8pm-4.30am. The road will be open Friday 24 January and Saturday 25 January.
We are resurfacing several sections in both directions on SH2. Recent poor weather has meant that these works have been rescheduled a few times. We will provide further updates if the weather forecast again looks unfavourable for resurfacing works.
Details
- Wednesday 22 January to Tuesday 28 January, 8pm to 4.30am, no works Friday 24 January and Saturday 25 January
- SH2 between Hughes Line and Cornwall Road/Norfolk Road roundabout CLOSED both directions
- Traffic management will be set up from 7pm, so drivers may experience delays from then
- SH2 will be open during the day with a temporary speed limit of 30km/hr for up to 5 days after these works

SH2 PETONE.
We wanted to advise you there has been a change to the traffic management required to complete the resurfacing works on SH2 in Petone.
Revised Works Schedule
- UNCHANGED: Thursday, 23 January
- Petone southbound on-ramp will be closed
- On-ramp will be closed to all traffic from 9 pm to 4:30 am. Southbound traffic will be down to one lane, with a temporary speed limit of 30 km/hr.
- Sunday 26 January, Monday, 27 January, Tuesday, 28 January, and Wednesday, 29 January
- Dowse Interchange to Petone will be closed in both directions between 9 pm and 4:30 am

- No works will occur on Friday 24 January or Saturday 25 January

Wellington Urban Motorway scheduled for Sunday 9 February to Thursday 13 February
We wanted to advise you of upcoming nighttime road closures on the Wellington Urban Motorway scheduled for Sunday 9 February to Thursday 13 February, weather permitting. The road will be closed between 9pm-4.30am.
Last year’s Urban Motorway closure proved to be a great success. The closure provided crews with a safer environment, so we could complete more works more efficiently.
During the closure this year, we will resurface five lane kilometres, complete the Terrace Tunnel Building Warrant of Fitness, renew digital signs, and complete other maintenance activities.

- SH1 CLOSED NORTHBOUND between Karo Drive and Ngauranga Interchange
- All northbound on and off-ramps CLOSED (Clifton on-ramp, Tinakori on-ramp, Tinakori off-ramp, May Street on-ramp, and Aotea Quay on-ramp)
