Auckland Road Report

Upcoming road closure – Ranfurly Road, Alfriston

Healthy Waters Project in Alfriston – To carry out this work safely and as quickly as possible, a section of Ranfurly Road between Everlea Place and Wastney Road will need to be closed to all vehicles for up to 12 weeks, likely starting in late-June.  During this time a signed traffic detour will be in place for vehicles along Mill Road and Alfriston Road.

 

SH22/Great South Road full closure 2-3 June night works

On Tuesday 2 June – Wednesday 3 June and working at night (9pm-5am), we will be moving the crane from the northern side of SH22 to the southern side of SH22 at Drury Interchange.
During this time, all SH22 lanes will be closed underneath the motorway in between the Drury on and off-ramps from 9pm at night to 5am the next morning.
The motorway on/off ramps will remain open with only left turn access on and off the motorway available. A detour for SH22 eastbound traffic to Papakura Interchange and back will be in place. A detour for SH22 westbound traffic to Ramarama Interchange and back will be in place.

NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi advises of the following closures for motorway improvements. Work delayed by bad weather will be completed at the next available date, prior to Friday, 5 June 2026. Please note this Traffic Bulletin is updated every Friday.

Unless otherwise stated, closures start at 9pm and finish at 5am. Traffic management may be in place before the advertised closure times for the mainline.
