Whakapara Road Rebuild Stage 2
On Monday 2 March work will begin on the second stage of the road rebuild at SH1 Whakapara, near Puhipuhi Road.
Work is expected to take 4 weeks to complete.
(NZTA), will be carrying out road rebuild works on State Highway 12 (SH12) as part of the Northland renewals programme.

When: Monday 9 March to Thursday 2 April 2026
Work hours 6:30am to 5:30pm
Where: SH12 between Hodgson Road and Wallace Road
Traffic management: 24/7 single lane closure – stop/go during the works and traffic light controls. Reduced speed of 30km/h at all times.
